Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Hello, I am Christina, 23 year old and mother of a gorgeous 3 year old boy! I was born and raised in Greece and moved to Australia 4 years ago. I am a beauty therapist owning a beauty salon “Delta Beauty Salon”.

Tell us about the Delta Beauty Salon and how it came to be?

Beauty was something I loved since I was a little girl. Everything beauty related seemed so interesting to me. At the age of 15, I started working in the beauty industry and taking beauty courses. When I graduated year 12 I also had my nail certificate and beauty experience. I knew that’s what I was born to do, I had and have that passion and fire about this job, I can’t explain. Moving forward I got Beauty Therapy Certificates & Beauty Therapy Diploma and Makeup Certificates both in Europe and Australia. Working in many beauty salons and freelancing, my dream was always to start my own business. Having a baby at the age of 19 unfortunately there were many people that thought my life ended and that I won’t be able to achieve my dreams. I felt lonely and hopeless. I knew what they were saying was wrong, I was strong and I knew that. Seven years after working in the beauty industry, having a baby at 19, being strong and independent from the age of 18, I now have a beautiful life and my own beauty salon “Delta Beauty Salon”.

Any advice for those who are thinking about turning their dreams into a reality?

To all girls out there being young mums, YOU CAN AND WILL DO IT. Don’t let anyone put you down. Nothing will destroy your life if you don’t allow it. And always remember their limits are not yours. Aim for the sky babes while drinking your favourite wine (rosé is mine). Delta Beauty Salon is now my second baby that was made with love, hard work and passion. It is a beauty salon for everybody to come and pamper themselves, relax and take a break from the stressful and busy everyday life. We have a variety of treatments to choose from.
